This Return & Refund Policy (“Policy”) applies to purchases made from Unique ChemX (“Unique ChemX,” “we,” “us,” “our”) and shipped within the United States. We do not ship internationally. By placing an order, you agree to this Policy in addition to our Terms of Service.
1. Research-Use Products; Final Sale After Shipment
Because our products are designated strictly for in vitro research and laboratory use and are handled as laboratory materials, all sales are final once an order ships, except as expressly stated in this Policy or where required by applicable law.
2. Order Changes and Cancellations (Before Shipment Only)
You may request an order change or cancellation only if the order has not shipped. Once an order is processed and tendered to the carrier, it cannot be canceled or modified.
We reserve the right to refuse, hold, or cancel any order at our discretion, including orders that raise safety, compliance, fraud, or misuse concerns.
3. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, you must contact us within 48 hours of confirmed delivery.
To be eligible for a replacement/refund review, provide:
- Order number
- Description of the issue
- Photos of: (a) outer shipping box, (b) inner packaging, (c) product label(s), and (d) the item(s)
After review, Unique ChemX may, at its discretion:
- Replace the affected item(s), or
- Issue a refund to the original payment method, or
- Issue store credit (where permitted by law)
We may require return of the affected item(s) before resolution. Any return must follow our instructions.
4. Return Authorization Required (No Unapproved Returns)
Returns are accepted only if authorized in writing by Unique ChemX with a Return Authorization (RA).
Returns sent without an RA may be rejected and not returned.
If authorized, items must be:
- Returned within 5 business days of RA issuance (postmarked by then)
- In original packaging, and unopened, unused, unaltered
- Free of tampering, relabeling, or damage not attributable to shipping
5. Non-Returnable / Non-Refundable Situations
Unless required by law, we do not accept returns or issue refunds for:
- Opened, used, or partially used products
- Products with broken seals, missing components, altered labels, or signs of tampering
- Products stored improperly after delivery (see Section 6)
- Customer ordering errors (wrong item selected) once shipped
- “Final Sale” / clearance items (if marked)
- Delays caused by the carrier (see Section 7)
6. Temperature Sensitivity; Handling After Delivery
Some products may be temperature-sensitive and require prompt storage. Once delivery is confirmed, you are responsible for immediate and proper storage and handling. Refunds/replacements are not available for damage caused by:
- Failure to retrieve the package promptly
- Exposure after delivery (heat/cold/sun/moisture)
- Improper storage or handling after receipt
7. Shipping, Delivery, and Lost/Delayed Packages
- U.S.-only shipping: We ship only within the United States.
- Incorrect address: You are responsible for providing accurate shipping information. If a package is returned due to an incorrect address, we may reship at your expense or refund minus shipping/handling (where permitted).
- Carrier delays: Delivery dates are estimates and not guaranteed. Carrier delays are not grounds for refunds.
- Marked “delivered” but not received: You must contact the carrier and/or local authorities (where appropriate) and provide claim details. We will assist as reasonable but do not guarantee replacement/refund without carrier confirmation.
- Lost in transit: If the carrier confirms loss and a claim is approved (or carrier confirms loss in writing), we may replace or refund at our discretion.
8. Refund Timing and Method
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing time varies by bank/payment provider. Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the issue was caused by Unique ChemX or required by law.
9. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Please contact us first to resolve order issues. Excessive or bad-faith chargebacks may result in account restriction and refusal of future orders, to the extent permitted by law.
